The word Meraki means to do something with soul, creativity, love, and passion. The Greeks said it was to leave a piece of yourself into whatever task you are doing. Meraki is our mission in the approach of teaching, learning, and cooking at our school.

Located in Gilbert, Arizona, in a cozy home kitchen, Meraki Cooking School was born! Meraki is a true passion project of founder, Meka  Morrow. Meka saw a need for culinary classes that taught children, teens, and those with disabilities independence in the kitchen while experiencing the beauty and community that is food.

 

Meka has been an educator for over 15 years. In the past 3 years, Meka designed and instructed using specific culinary curriculum for teaching students with Autism adaptive and life skills in the kitchen. She brings a love for all things food-related and  hopes to foster that same passion in everyone who learns at Meraki Cooking School.
