Service Description

Step into a cozy Japanese-inspired tea house as we learn how to make soft and fluffy Japanese milk bread (shokupan) using the tangzhong method. Teens will mix, knead, shape, and bake beautiful rolls while enjoying a calming tea house experience . We’ll explore Japanese bakery traditions and the idea of hospitality through food. Each student will take home freshly baked rolls and dough to continue the experience at home! MENU Japanese Milk Bread (Shokupan)-Kneading, shaping, proofing, and baking the softest pull-apart loaf Wonton Miso Soup – Mild shiro miso broth poured over a mini chicken wonton and scallions Japanese Tea Service- Green Tea, or matcha and tea house hospitality Matcha Cream Puffs – Chef-Made Tasting Assorted Asian Pastries – Chef-Made Tasting Notes: • This is a drop-off class • This class is a 2.5 hour workshop • Closed-toe shoes required, hair tied back • We accept ESA funds (debit card or vendor pay)

Cancellation Policy We want every class and camp to be a wonderful experience! Because ingredients and supplies are purchased in advance, we’re not able to offer refunds. If you need to make a change, class exchanges are available with at least 3 days’ notice. Unfortunately, no credits or exchanges can be made within 3 days of the class. Camp registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable. On the rare occasion that Meraki needs to cancel or reschedule, we’ll notify you right away and arrange a new date.
